Humidity is the amount of water in the air. To increase the humidity, it is necessary to add water vapor into the air. There are basically 5 methods to evaporate water.
Wetting the floors and waiting for the water to evaporate naturally; this method is not suitable for many businesses as it is irregular and uncontrollable.
Hot steam: this method is not preferred because it is costly and disrupts ambient temperature conditions.
Cold steam: these devices are mostly used in small volume areas. They are very sensitive machines. this machine make cold steam, the steam image is the same like hot steam. (like the humidifiers used in baby rooms…) they are not very suitable for large volumes, since their humidification capacity is not very high and they humidify from a single point. They work by evaporating the water in the chamber. for this reason, when the water put into the chamber evaporates, all the elements in the water such as lime, carbon, chlorine in the water will remain in the chamber and the processor will be damaged. When pure water is not used in these devices, it can create cost and maintenance costs. When pure water is used and preferred for suitable volumes, its biggest advantage is that it can moisturize without any feeling of wetness.
Wet pads: this method is a method that can be used mostly in summer. It cannot be used at all times of the year. In terms of price, it costs a little more than the next option. They are mostly used for cooling purposes. Humidification provides benefits as a by-product of this function. The air sucked from outside is passed through wet pads and given to the indoor environment. By adding water vapor to the fresh air, it is pressed indoors. this cools the compressed air up to 5-10 degrees. Wet pets cannot be used for humidification as the weather is already cold in winter.
Pressurized water spray method: this is the system we use the most. We can call this humidification method “the method of spraying water into the air with high pressure and penetrating it into the air without falling to the ground”. The cost is lower than all other methods. This is the most suitable method of humidity control for large volumes. By spraying from many points with the pipeline, it can be ensured that the moisture is evenly distributed to the environment. The higher the pressure of the water in these systems, the less the feeling of wetness. Accordingly, there are 3 group spraying methods as a) high pressure 50-70 bar – b) medium pressure 16-20bar – c) low pressure 2-6 bar.
Low pressure systems: the cost is very affordable. You can increase the humidity in a controlled way. Wetness occurs because the water particle diameter is large and the spray pressure is small.
Medium pressure systems: cost-effective. You can spray at the micron level. Since the water particle diameter is small and the spray pressure is at medium level, it is in a position between no wetness formation and present. With the correct setting of the “spray-stop” time cycle, the formation of wetness can be reduced to the level of no. Max. 50 nozzles can be used. (The feeling of wetness can be reduced by adding a fan to the system.)
High pressure systems: cost more than low and medium pressure, but lower than other humidification products. Multiple tips can be operated with one pump. Wetness formation is less. With the correct setting of the “spray-stop” time cycle, it can be reduced to no wetness level. (By adding a fan to the system, it can be pulled to the level of no wetness).
It is possible to spray in different microns with different nozzle types (spray nozzle) in high pressure and medium pressure spray systems. Reducing the micron diameter reduces the formation of wetness. For example, if we need to spray 2 liters of water to feed the calculated amount of water to the environment, it will be necessary to use approximately 60 nozzles, 20 microns and 30 nozzles, and 30 microns and 20 nozzles when 10 micron nozzles are used. If the water quality is poor, 10 micron nozzles will clog more and more quickly than 30 micron nozzles. If 10 micron is used, wetness formation will be less, but more tip will be used compared to 30 micron. In the place to be humidified, if there are 20 points where the wetness will not have a negative effect, 30 micron tips can be used and the cost can be lowered. By making all these evaluations, our expert staff will assist you in choosing the most suitable system for your business.
Spray systems work with a spray-stop cycle as a function. The reason for this is that when the spraying time is prolonged, the sprayed water particles can form larger droplets in the air. These droplets can also fall down and create a feeling of slight wetness. Users can choose the most suitable interval for their businesses with the timers on the Seismist main machines. This enables these systems to humidify without creating wetness.
